Almughavars (also known as Almogavars) were ferocious Christian light infantry who, despite their lack of armour and equipment, held their own against knights and went on to become feared mercenaries across the Iberian Peninsula and Sicily. Fast, aggressive, and utterly relentless, they are among the most characterful warriors of the medieval period.
