The French Dragoon was a soldier of two worlds — equally at home thundering across a battlefield on horseback or fighting on foot through broken terrain where cavalry couldn't follow. By 1812, Napoleon's Line Dragoons were battle-hardened veterans of a decade of European warfare, and this box lets you put that versatility on your tabletop.

This set contains 21 hard plastic 28mm multi-pose figures: 13 mounted Dragoons and 8 dismounted, giving you the flexibility to represent your regiment in action, at rest, or mid-skirmish — exactly as history demanded of them.

Perfect For

  • Sharp Practice (Too Fat Lardies) — field the dismounted figures as a skirmish force, the mounted as a devastating support element
  • Black Powder (Warlord Games) — represent a full Dragoon regiment in line or column
  • Chosen Men (Osprey Wargames) — ideal for Peninsular War or Russian campaign scenarios
  • Rebels and Patriots (Osprey Wargames) — fast-play skirmish with period flavour
  • Lasalle (Sam Mustafa) — Napoleonic operational-level play with cavalry as a key arm

Pairs Perfectly With

These Dragoons make a natural complement to the Skirmish in a Box: Napoleonic French and Spanish — add mounted support to your French Line infantry and Elite companies for a more complete Peninsular War force. They also pair beautifully with the Spanish Napoleonic Guerrillas on the opposing side, recreating the cat-and-mouse raids and ambushes that defined the war in Spain.
